Initiatives
Communities and events I've helped build over the years.
An invite-only community I helped build in 2014 to bring together Brazil's early product managers, helping create awareness around product management as a distinct career at a time when the role was still emerging in the local tech scene. Later the community was incorporated to PM3.com.br.
Tropical Ruby, later known as Tropical on Rails, is a Brazilian Ruby / Ruby on Rails conference created to bring together developers, founders, and the Rails community around talks, networking, and knowledge sharing. I was a founder and organizer of the 2012, 2014, and 2015 editions.
Manguezal is a startup community from Recife created to connect founders, developers, investors, and entrepreneurs, helping strengthen the local tech ecosystem through events, networking, knowledge sharing, and support for early-stage startups.
I volunteered as a facilitator, helping guide participants through the process and supporting teams as they turned ideas into early-stage ventures. Startup Weekend is a 54-hour entrepreneurship event, originally supported by the Kauffman Foundation and later by Techstars.
Hosting
Sometimes I trade the keyboard for a microphone and host tech and community events.
